There are so many reasons to love May! As the weather starts to warm up, Nature begins to shed her winter layers and the vibrant colours of Spring begin to make their debut. There is a sense of hope in the air, as we start to spend more time outside, returning to our favourite outdoor sports and hobbies, preparing the gardens, looking forward to opening up the cottage, to backyard BBQs, and getting out in nature with friends and family.

We, at the McGregor Hahne Group, feel strongly about being a part of the community where we live and work. It is a privilege to give back into the communities that support us and one of the reasons why we love what we do. Throughout the month of May, we are highlighting a cause close to our hearts, in memory of our dear friend and inspiration Andrea Kane (pictured below).

On May 29th, the Hospice Georgian Triangle will host their Hike & Bike for Hospice event, with proceeds going to support the most urgent needs of the Hospice, and directly helps those with life-limiting illness get the care they need at the end of their lives. This highly anticipated event will bring together family and friends to fundraise and support the compassionate care provided by the incredible health team, which is an invaluable service for families in Collingwood, Clearview, The Town of Blue Mountains and Wasaga Beach.

James and his family proudly support the Residential Hospice Grey Bruce year round and are excited for their Hike for Hospice event running through the entire month of May. For those who live in Grey Bruce and would like to raise funds for your local Hospice, check out their site here to see how you can participate.

Documentary gives view of Bruce Pennisula through different lens

A documentary set to premiere on TVO on Friday evening will give viewers a different view of the top of the Bruce Peninsula.

Mitch Azaria of Good Earth Productions, who is executive producer the show called Tripping the Bruce, said Thursday that those who watch the episode get an uninterrupted run of the top of the peninsula that few have seen before. “I think for people, no matter how many times they have been to Tobermory, out to Flowerpot, taken a tour of some of the wrecks or gone to the grotto, they will never have seen what we are about to show them,” Azaria said. “Most of it is not accessible by land, and by water it can be a dangerous trip so very few people do it.”
