Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
The past few weeks have been feeling more like what we expect from the Spring Muskoka Cottage Market. Busy.
The flood warning in Muskoka has ended and water levels are subsiding. Many owners who have experienced high water levels on their properties are now starting the process of cleaning up debris the receding water leaves behind.
We're seeing lots of new waterfront listings every day now and sales are happening. With the warmer weather, buyers are coming out of hibernation and turning their minds to summer at the cottage.
Generally, we see a lot of families spending the Victoria Day weekend at their new cottage. This year, with the slow start to the market, flooding and the early long weekend, many buyers will be happy to be in for mid-June or the beginning of July.
As always, properties that are viewed by buyers as good value are moving. Quickly. We're seeing multiple offers again. It's not for the faint of heart and is all the more reason to get your financial ducks in a row before you fall in love.
At this time of year, the key to success is - Action! If you see something you like, don't wait for some other buyer to be the early bird that gets it.
When you're ready to move from Dreaming to Doing, we're here to guide you every step of the way to your perfect cottage.
